Autodesk Innovation Awards Russia - the annual Russian competition of projects [1] [2] [3] [4] , implemented using Autodesk software products. Architectural, design, engineering or visual special effects projects may be nominated for the competition. Organizations registered in the Russian Federation and individuals - citizens of Russia [5] can participate in the competition.
Each competition nomination uses its own evaluation criteria. Projects combining several engineering disciplines and created using various Autodesk products have the most chances to win. The jury pays great attention to the visualization and presentation of the presentations, since in reality these advantages affect the commercial success of the project.
The organizer of the competition is LLC Autodesk (CIS), the organizing committee is LLC Agency Event.
Content
History
Autodesk Innovation Awards Russia has been in competition since 2013. The launch of the first competition was announced in June 2013. Initially, only legal entities were allowed to participate - commercial organizations registered in Russia. However, already in August 2013, the organizers decided to expand the scope, allowing small studios and individual entrepreneurs to participate.
During the existence of the contest, the number of nominations in it has changed, and the subject has steadily expanded.
Nominations
There have always been several nominations combining many topics. They included: civil and industrial construction, infrastructure, engineering, animation and graphics. In 2013 [6] , in the first year of the existence of the competition, five nominations were distinguished:
- Civil Engineering
- Oil and Gas / Energy / Industrial Construction
- Infrastructure facilities
- Engineering / Industrial Design
- Animation / Video Effects
In the same year, the organizers introduced the so-called Free Nomination - for works that are not a drawing, layout, model or other graphic image. These could be original projects made using Autodesk platform products (AutoCAD); projects for the comprehensive implementation of Autodesk Vault or other Autodesk cloud services using their own unique developments; calculation and analysis systems made on Autodesk software; Custom Autodesk API Programming Solutions, etc.
In the future, the nominations were enlarged. By 2016, there were three left [4] :
- BIM : design and construction of industrial and civil facilities
- Development of industrial products and industries
- Animation and visual effects
Rewards
Competition winners receive awards in non-monetary form. The main prize in each category is a diploma and a trip to the international conference Autodesk University in Las Vegas [7] . Participants who took second and third places in the nomination receive special prizes from the organizers and partners of the competition (most often - in the form of equipment for work)
