In the United States, alligator hunting is permitted in the states of Arkansas , South Carolina , Louisiana , Florida , Georgia and Texas . In addition, crocodiles are grown for meat in crocodile farms [7] .
Alligator meat is used in Chinese cuisine, in traditional Chinese medicine - for cancer prevention [11] .
