History
The farm was part of the yurt of the village of Mikhailovskaya in the Khopersky District of the Land of the Don Army (since 1870 - the Don Army Region ). In 1859, 237 male and 275 female souls lived on the farm [2] . According to the census of 1897, 249 men and 270 women lived on the farm, of whom literate: 87 men, 8 women [3] . According to the alphabetical list of the populated areas of the Donskoy Army Region in 1915, the farm's allotment was 2,200 dessiatins , 311 men and 310 women lived, and there was a farm board [4] .
Since 1928 - as part of the Uryupinsky district of the Khopyorsky district (abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga region (since 1934 - the Stalingrad region ) [5] Since 1935 - as part of the Khopyersky district of the Stalingrad region (since 1936, the Stalingrad region , since 1954 until 1957, the district was part of the Balashov region ). In 1959, in connection with the abolition of the Khopyersky district, it was again included in the Uryupinsky district [6] [7] .
Geography
The farm is located in the forest-steppe , within the Khopersko-Buzuluk plain , which is the southern end of the Oksko-Don Lowland (on the Chigonaki tract [8] ). The farm is located at an altitude of about 80 meters above sea level. It is separated from the village of Mikhailovskaya by a forest [9] . Soils are floodplain slightly acidic and neutral [10] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of Uryupinsk is 25 km, to the regional center of Volgograd - 350 km [11] .
