Biography

Born in 1734 in the family of Jan and Catherine. He came from a Lviv petty bourgeois family, whose members are often mentioned in the metric books of the church of Mary Snezhnaya Krakovsky suburb. [1] Where the training took place is unknown. Dmitry Krvavich suggested that Poleyovsky could be a Ukrainian by birth. [2]

According to the assumptions of Vladimir Vuytsyk, he could have been a student of Bernard Meretin (according to Zbigniew Hornung, was his student [1] ) and studied architecture at the Lviv Jesuit College . [3] October 23, 1765 received the title of royal architect, which freed him from shop dependence. He lived in Lviv on Armyanskaya Street , first in house No. 14 together with the sculptor Anton Osinsky - the brother-in-law, the husband of Rosalia’s sister [1] - then in his own house, house No. 13.

He was married to Marianne from the Pelchinsky (she died in 1781). He had two brothers sculptors (John and Matthew), and two sisters. Sister Rosalia was the wife of sculptor Anton Osinsky, and Magdalene was the artist Matvey Miller. He had a daughter, Veronica Teklu (born in 1764), the son of Rupert Vincent Wojciech (born March 27, 1776).

He died between March 27 and May 21, 1776. He was buried in the Latin Cathedral of Lviv .
