Biography
Born in 1900 in Warsaw, in the family of an artisan [1] .
In 1921 he joined the Communist Party of Poland , in 1922 he became one of the organizers of the Communist Youth League of Poland [1] [2] .
In 1926 he was elected to the Central Committee of the CPR and in 1926-1928. served as secretary of the CPT, since 1929 - member of the Politburo of the CPT [1] [2] [3] .
In 1930-1933, a member of the Executive Committee of the Profintern [2] , was repeatedly arrested, spent ten years in Polish prisons [1] .
After the German attack on Poland in September 1939, he moved to the territory of the USSR [1] [2] .
The beginning of the Great Patriotic War on June 22, 1941, met in Minsk .
Since 1942, he was the editor of the magazine " Nowe widnokręgi " [1] [2] .
In 1943, he became one of the organizers of the “ Union of Polish Patriots ” [4] and one of the organizers of the creation of the Polish Army in the USSR. Also, since 1943, he became the editor of the Polish weekly newspaper Wolna Polska published in the USSR [1] [2] .
He died in Moscow, in 1945, he was posthumously awarded the Cross of Grunwald I class [1] .
In 1964, the ashes were reburied in Warsaw [2] .
