Boris Yakovlevich Valkov (September 6, 1940, Moscow - June 16, 2009, Samara ) - Soviet football player , football coach. Defender of the Kuibyshev “Wings of the Soviets” , club record holder in the number of games in the major league of the USSR championships, USSR Master of Sports , champion of the RSFSR (1961), finalist of the USSR Cup (1964) , honored coach of the RSFSR (1992).

Career
He was in Kuibyshev in 1941 as a result of evacuation. Started playing football in 1954 in the local youth team "Sunrise" with coach Vladimir Zamyatin . In 1957 he graduated from the Volgograd Institute of Physical Culture and Sports . He made his debut with Wings of the Soviets on October 19, 1958 in the last match of the season against Shakhtar Donetsk. For “Wings” he played 13 seasons until 1970. After finishing his career, he worked for many years in Wings of the Soviets as a coach (1980-1986), team leader (1987-1991) and president (1996-1998).
