Biography
Having begun service on January 25, 1792 in the 8th Dragoon Regiment, he rose to the rank of commander on February 7, 1797. He participated in the coup 18 brumaire . He was promoted to brigadier general on July 5, 1800 and was immediately sent to the Italian army. May 15, 1801 sent to the Southern Observational Army. September 23, 1802 transferred to the 20th military district.
In August 1803 he led the Dragoons Brigade (20th and 26th Regiments), stationed in Amiens. With this brigade, operating as part of the 1st Dragoon Division , took part in the Austrian campaign of 1805. In 1806, he led the 2nd Brigade (10th and 11th Regiments) of the 2nd Dragoon Division. He participated in campaigns in Prussia and Poland.
From November 5, 1807 to January 9, 1809 he was interim commander of the 2nd Dragoon Division. In 1808, together with the division, he went to Spain, where he fought until 1811. For some time he was governor of the province of Avila .
He retired on January 4, 1812. He died on September 18, 1821 in Fontainebleau.
