Gamayun (masonic lodge)

Gamayun is the name of several Masonic lodges , the first of which appeared in France, in 1931, and the latter, founded in 1993, under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Russia under No. 4.

Lodge "Gamaun" No. 624 WLF

The Lodge was founded on December 1, 1931 by members of the “Northern Lights” Lodge for youth works in Freemasonry. Installed on January 15, 1932. She worked according to the Ancient and accepted Scottish bylaws under the auspices of the Great Lodge of France under No. 624. Before the war, she assembled in a Russian masonic house on Ivette street, after the end of the war - on Puteaux street. At the end of 1934, a food co-operative partnership was organized at the bed, which operated until 1937. Resumed work May 11, 1945. In 1960-1961, she held joint meetings with the Lotus box . Closed in 1965 due to the transition of the majority of the members of the lodge to the Great National Lodge of France . The number of lodges for 34 years was 111 Freemasons [1] [2] .

Lodge "Gamaun" VNLF

Lodge "Gamaun" was founded on June 24, 1993 in St. Petersburg [2] . The lodge began to work actively since the fall of 1993 in Voronezh. When the prerequisites were created for the creation of the Great Lodge of Russia in 1995, the Gamayun lodge was one of the founders' lodges [3] .

On June 24, 1995, the constituent assembly of the Great Lodge of Russia was held in Moscow. The founders of the Great Lodge of Russia were the Great National Lodge of France and the four lodges it had previously created in Russia. After the establishment, all the lodges became part of the Great Lodges of Russia and received new registry numbers. So, the lodge "Gamayun" received number 4.

Over the past almost 23 years of lodge history, it has undergone updates to the composition of the lodge. The number of the lodge for 2015 is about 15 Freemasons [4] .

Due to the small number in the box (3 active masons remained) and the inability to hold regular masonic meetings, the works of the Gamayun Lodge No. 4, since the autumn of 2017, have been suspended.

Lodge "Gamaune" No. 502 WJLF

On November 28, 2017, the Gamayun Lodge No. 502 ( Great Women's Lodge of France ) was created in St. Petersburg. The lodge works in Moscow and St. Petersburg on the French restored ritual and unites about 30 sisters.
