Biography

Born on January 16, 1930 in Novosibirsk. In 1954 he graduated from the Leningrad Mining Institute. GV Plekhanova , Doctor of Economics , Professor .

From 1948 he began his career as a worker at the Elektromortrest enterprise in Leningrad.

  • 1954-1958 - Secretary of the Sverdlovsk District Committee of the Komsomol of Leningrad;
  • 1958-1961 - Secretary, Second and First Secretary of the Leningrad Regional Committee of the Komsomol;
  • 1961-1964 - Second secretary of the Komsomol Central Committee;
  • 1964-1967 - Deputy Chairman of the USSR State Vocational Education Committee;
  • 1967-1983 - First Deputy Chairman of the USSR State Committee on Vocational Education;
  • 1983–1992 - Director of the USSR Exhibition of Economic Achievements , Deputy Chairman of the Chief Exhibition and Member of the Board of the USSR State Committee on Science and Technology;
  • 1992-1998 - Director General of the All-Russian Exhibition Center JSC (VVC); Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on exhibition and fair activities. In this post, he became famous because, after incorporating VDNH, Boris Yeltsin , allowed employees to privatize their pavilions, but when heavy trade began at the All-Russian Exhibition Center, he returned almost all privatized pavilions to the ownership of GAO VVC [1] .
