Gruža ( Serb. Gruža , Serbohorv. Gruža ) is a river in the Moravic , Shumadi and Rash okrugs of Serbia . Left tributary of Western Moravia (Black Sea basin). The length is 62 km [1] [2] . The basin area is 622 km² [1] [2] , according to other sources - 886.6 km² [3] . In the middle of the course, a reservoir was created, which the local population calls the Serb. Gruzhansko Jesero . The cargo originates at the Rudnik mountain near the village of Rudnik, northeast of the town of Gorni Milanovac in central Serbia. It flows near the villages of Maidan , Takovo, Nevada and just a few kilometers from Gorny Milanovac makes a sharp turn to the east. However, soon near the village of Lyulyatsi again turns south, maintaining this direction in the future. Near the village of Dragushitsa, a thicket of the Gruzhinsky reservoir begins to form, called the lake by the population. It was created in 1979-1981 for the water supply of the cities of Kragujevac , Kraljevo and the surrounding villages. In the beginning, the width of the reservoir reaches almost 3 kilometers, but in the middle it gradually narrows to 300 meters, its length is 10 kilometers. The maximum depth reaches 35 meters [4] . At the lower point of the reservoir, water intake and water treatment facilities are installed, below which the river continues its natural current until it flows into West Moravia.
In the river there are common carp , pike , catfish , crucian carp , river perch , lake trout , bream , zander and many other fish. This contributes to the widespread development of recreational fishing among local residents and visiting tourists [5] .
The beauties of the river and the adjacent river valley were sung by several authors in fiction. The poet Dobrica Jeric dedicated to them the poem "The Wonderful Rose of Shumadia" [6] . In the repertoire of the performer Novitsa Negovanovich there is a song “Flowing river, flowing Gruzha”.
