Biography
Born in San Luis (Maranhao State). Ananias is a graduate of Bahia , in which he made his professional debut at the Bahia State Championship in 2007. In 2011, he was leased for two years to the “ Portuguese ” [2] .
From 2013 to 2015, the rights to the football player belonged to Cruzeiro, but he played three matches for the foxes, mainly speaking on loan for other teams - Palmeiras, Sport Recife and Chapecoense. In the last club, he signed a full-fledged contract in 2016. Together with Chape, he won the championship of the state of Santa Catarina, and also reached the first in the history of the club finals of the international tournament - the South American Cup . It was the goal on Ananias' alien field against the goal of San Lorenzo in the tournament semifinal that brought the team to the decisive stage of the competition [3] .
On November 28, 2016, Ananias died in a plane crash near Medellin, along with the entire staff and coaching staff of the club, who flew to the first final match of the UAC-2016 with Atletico Nacional [3] .
The player had the nickname “Ananiesta” because of a similar position on the field and the manner of playing with the world champion in the Spanish national team Andres Iniesta .
