Melsheim ( French: Melsheim ) is a commune in the northeast of France in the Grand Est region [1] (former Alsace - Champagne - Ardenne - Lorraine ), department of the Lower Rhine , Saverne district, Buchsville canton [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Oshfelden ( Strasbourg-Kampan district).

Economics
In 2010, out of 374 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years), 290 were economically active , 84 inactive (activity indicator 77.5%, in 1999 - 72.7%). Of 290 active able-bodied residents, 270 people worked (145 men and 125 women), 20 were unemployed (13 men and 7 women). Among 84 able-bodied inactive citizens, 18 were pupils or students , 41 - pensioners , and another 25 - were inactive due to other reasons [9] [10] .
