She graduated from the medical faculty of the Kazakhstan State Medical Institute in 1938. She began her career as the chief doctor of the district hospital. September 5, 1939, at the age of 24, was appointed director of the Alma-Ata Republican Sanitary and Paramedic School, which at that time trained 245 students (orphaned girls from 14 years old) [3] .

In connection with the Decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR of October 27, 1942 "On measures to improve the work of health authorities and child care facilities for medical care for children and to strengthen the nutrition of needy children", the post of deputy people's commissar of health for obstetrics and infancy was allocated in the Ministry of Health of the Kazakh SSR. In October 1943, A. B. Bisenova was appointed to this post.

With her efforts, in wartime conditions, the number of nurseries, dairy kitchens, mother and child houses, orphanages increased in the republic; During the war years, more than a thousand orphans were added to families [1] . After the war, A. B. Bisenova paid special attention to the development and arrangement of children's clinics, hospitals, and centers for women's consultations; contributed to the opening of specialized departments of rheumatology and nursing of premature babies in children's clinics.

In those years, A. B. Bisenova was one of the few women leaders of such a high rank - she was often entrusted with representing the Government at events of the women's movement, especially on issues of motherhood [4] .

In 1959, Bisenova was removed from the post of Deputy Minister of Health, having been appointed director of the Research Institute for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood (since 1972 - the Research Institute of Pediatrics of the Ministry of Health of the Kazakh SSR). Under her research institute was expanded, new departments of baby food and social pediatrics were established [5] . She headed the institute until her retirement in 1980.

In addition to administrative activities, A. B. Bisenova also conducted a scientific study on the protection of motherhood and children's health: she defended her thesis and published a total of 84 scientific papers [6] , including the monograph Essays on the Development of Maternal and Child Health in Kazakhstan (1965) .

She was awarded two orders of the Red Banner of Labor , the Order of the Badge of Honor , the medal For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War, and numerous diplomas [6] .
