In 2001, he graduated from the with a degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship (or Finance) and received a bachelor's degree in economics.

In 2016, he graduated from the Ternopil National Economic University with a degree in Jurisprudence and received a bachelor's degree in law.

From 2001 to 2007 he worked as the commercial director of the network of shopping and leisure centers "Karavan" ^[8] .

From 2007 to 2009 - partner of the US-Ukrainian commercial architectural bureau Laguarda Low Design and Development.

From 2009 to 2014 - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assofit Holdings Limited.

From 2010 to 2014, Alexander Granovsky was the chairman of the supervisory board of the holding company Assofit Holdings Limited ^[9] .

In 2006, Estonian businessman Hillar Teder launched the construction of the Skymol mall in Kiev. In 2010, due to the difficulties associated with the global economic crisis, Teder began his search for an investor in the project. In the same year, businessman Andrei Adamovsky, through Assofit Holdings Limited, invested $ 40 million in the Skymol mall and in return received 50% plus 1 share of the shopping center. The terms of the deal provided for Adamovskiy to repurchase its shares for $ 50 million. But within the specified period, Adamovsky refused to sell his share with the argument that Teder allegedly violated the terms of the deal. Legal proceedings accompanying the dispute over the ownership of shares of Assofit Holdings Limited were held in British, Cypriot and Ukrainian courts ^[10] .

On June 9, 2011, a London court ruled that the Adam's shareholder agreement with Teder was terminated and found that Teder violated a number of transaction conditions ^[11] . The court also ordered Tedera to transfer shareholder debt of about $ 100 million under the overall control of Adamovsky and Tedera.

On May 5, 2016, the London International Arbitration Court decided to transfer all Assofit Holdings Limited shares to the ownership of Arricano Real Estate Plc no later than June 5 of the current year. However, no transmission followed, and Adamovsky and Granovsky gained full control over the Skymol mall ^{[12] [13]} .

From May 25 to November 30, 2014 he was a deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the Udar party under No. 23 ^[14] , was a member of the commission for budget and socio-economic development ^[9] and the temporary control commission for the inspection of utility companies communities of the city of Kiev and other business entities, in the authorized funds of which there is a share of the territorial community of Kiev ^[15] .

In the elections of October 26, 2014, he passed to the Verkhovna Rada under No. 58 in the list of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc ^{[16] [17]} . In parliament he was elected head of the subcommittee on civil, economic and administrative legal proceedings of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on legal policy and justice, a member of the parliamentary committee on legal policy and justice ^[18] .

According to the investigation of the program “Our grozhy”, Alexander Granovsky from July 2015 enjoys free protection of the Security Service of Ukraine . According to the MP, this is due to the fact that he acts as a witness in a criminal case ^{[19] [20] [21]} .

In November 2016, the former President of Georgia and the former head of the Odessa region, Mikhail Saakashvili, accused Alexander Granovsky and Igor Kononenko that, at the direction of President Petro Poroshenko, they are engaged in preparing the issue of deprivation of Ukraine’s citizenship policy ^{[22] [23] [24] [25 ] ]} . People’s Deputy Alexander Granovsky called these accusations not related to real life ^{[26] [27]} .

In December 2016, a runaway deputy and businessman Alexander Onishchenko said that he participated in the vote-buying of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada for Petro Poroshenko, together with Igor Kononenko and Alexander Granovsky ^{[28] [29] [30]} . Alexander Granovsky denied these accusations, stating that he never spoke with Onishchenko personally, and therefore was not interested in the affairs of the latter ^[31] .

As a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Alexander Granovsky introduced several bills to improve the activities of the prosecutor's office ^{[32] [33] [34]} , legal proceedings ^{[35] [36]} , registration of rights to property ^[37] , registration of legal entities and individuals - entrepreneurs and public formations ^{[ 38]} , on the Constitutional Court of Ukraine ^{[39] [40]} , on the High Council of Justice of Ukraine ^[41] .

November 1, 2018 was included in the list of Ukrainian individuals, against which the Russian government imposed economic sanctions ^{[42] [43] [44] [45]} .

On May 29, 2019, Aleksandr Granovsky left the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party ^[46] .

In the early parliamentary elections in 2019, he ran for 169 majoritarian constituencies (Kievsky and part of the Moscow district of Kharkiv ), receiving 15.88% (11,557 votes). Yielded to the candidate of the party " Servant of the People " Alexander Kunitsky (47.99%, 34,908 votes ^[47] ).

Alexander Granovsky appealed to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and to the pardon commission asking for clemency for the life convicted Lyubov Kushinskaya ^{[48] [49]} . Kushinsky was the first woman in Ukraine who was sentenced to life. She also became the first woman who was pardoned by the head of state ^[50] .

People’s Deputy Alexander Granovsky helps the Sirius ^[51] shelter for homeless animals , he himself maintains five dogs and convinces Igor Kononenko to take home the animal from the shelter ^[52] .

Alexander Granovsky helped Kachanovsky correctional colony of Kharkov, putting medical beds and installing a 3D cinema. Also, the deputy continues to work on the unraveling of the cases of some life-sentenced people ^[53] .

November 30, 2018 Granovsky was elected President of the Kharkov Regional Chess Federation. The politician replaced Sergey Gusarov ^{[54] [55]} in this post. At the beginning of 2019, he held a chess tournament between the Kiev and Kharkiv regional federations, in which talented children and held grandmasters and Olympic champions took part ^{[56] [57] [58]} .
