New Metaphysis

The “New Metaphysis” is a literary and general cultural direction oriented towards spiritual search. The founders of this trend were the writers A. Davydov , A. Ilichevsky and A. Tavrov in the early 2000s (see the New Metaphysis website). The eponymous collection of works by ten authors, published by the New Literary Review Publishing House in 2012 (by Igor Ganikovsky ), included, in addition to the three named works, the works of writers V. Aristov , Yu. Kokoshko, I. Kutik , V. Mesyats , K. Popovsky, as well as composer V. Gaivoronsky and artist I. Ganikovsky . In the introduction, the authors write: “The idea of ​​this collection has been ripening for many years, more than a decade. It has been since three of its future participants felt the change of cultural eras and their joint involvement in the cultural movement, which they called the “new metaphysis”, with the proviso that it’s “old”, it’s “eternal”. During this time, a wave of "metaphysical" literature swept across the world, instantly profaned with more or less talent ... The purpose of this collection is not to name this phenomenon as much as designate it. The authors of the collection are neither a literary group nor a friendly company. These are writers of very different creative and personal destinies. However, all share a common understanding of the purpose, significance and meaning of literature, the direction and level of creative search. The collection includes essays, most of which have not been previously published; they are preceded by direct or indirect statements of the authors about the "metaphysical" direction in modern culture.
