Nantai ( 男 体 山 Nantaisan ) is a stratovolcano in Nikko National Park , whose height is 2486 meters above sea level. The volcano attracts pilgrims who climb it in order to honor the deity of the Futarasan temple. The volcano was found by the priest Shodo, who turned Nikko into the religious center of Eastern Japan, in 782.

Climbing the mountain is carried out by a stone staircase with steep steps and takes a lot of time, but the reward will be a breathtaking view of the mountain lake Tyuzenji surrounded by mountains.
Nantai is located next to Kegon Falls and is visited in summer when there is no snow on the mountain.
