The men's 400m hurdles final took place on July 8, 2016. The leaders in the semi-finals Yasmani Kopello and Karsten Warholm from the very start created a slight advantage over their rivals. Kopelo was able to keep him to the finish line and win the first gold for Turkey in the 400 meters race with barriers at European Championships. At the same time, Warholm did not have enough strength for the finish line, and he could not intervene in the fight for medals. Spaniard Sergio Fernandez won silver, and reigning champion Karim Hussein won bronze [5] .
