Ajjer (also Ajjer, Adjer, Janet ; English ajjer, djanet, janet, ganet, gânt, asjer, azjar, azgar ; self-name: ajjr ) - a dialect of the Tuareg tribe group Kel Adjer , one of the dialects of the East Tamahak language of the northern Turegare branch of the Tuaregang families [1] [2] [3] .

Distributed in the desert regions of the Sahara in southeast Algeria in the southern part of Illizi vilayet - on the Tassilin-Adjer plateau and in the vicinity of the city of . The number of speakers of agger along with speakers of other dialects of the East Tamahak language is about 24 thousand people (2005) [4] .
According to the classification of A. Yu. Aichenwald and A. Yu. Militareva, azhzher, together with ahaggar , taitok and other idioms, belong to the dialects of the Tamahak language in the northern group of the Tuareg branch [1] [5] . Together with dialects close to him, ghat , hurraghen, timasinin and imanghassaten form a group of dialects of the East Tamahak language (in other classifications - the eastern group of dialects of the Tamahak language), opposed to the West Tamahak dialects, gasps , taitok , ahaggar and Issakamaren. Within the framework of the East Tamamakhak area, azhzher with ghat and hurraghen form a subgroup of dialects of ghat-azhzher [4] .
The Ethnologue Directory of World Languages lists the linguonimans Janet and Ganet as variants of the name of the dialect group ghat corresponding to the East Tamahak range [6] .
