Darya Sergeyevna Samokhina (born August 12, 1992 , Tolyatti ) is a Russian handball player , a player of Astrakhanochka and the Russian national team , an international master of sports in Russia . Silver medalist of the European Championship 2018 . Top scorer of the Russian national team at the 2017 World Cup.

Biography
Born in Togliatti. From the age of 10, she was engaged in handball at the local Handball School β 2, the first coach was Sergey Mikhailovich Voevoda. Since 2007, a player of the Lada handball club. In the summer of 2017, she moved to Astrakhanochka [2] [3] .
Married, husband Vladimir. In 2014 she graduated from Togliatti State University .
In December 2017, Samokhina was the main leftmost team of Russia at the 2017 World Cup in Germany. In 7 matches of the tournament Daria scored 32 goals (after 39 shots), including having realized 10 out of 10 seven-meter ones. Samokhina became the top scorer in the tournament.
At the 2018 European Championships in France, Samokhina scored 28 goals in 8 games (after 47 shots), including 14 seven-meter ones (after 23 shots). The Russian team took second place, losing in the final of France.
