Old Sverzhen is an agro - town in the Stolbtsovsky district of the Minsk region of Belarus , the center of the Starosverzhensky village council . The population of 545 people (2009) [1] .

Geography
The agro-town is located 5 km south-west of the district center, the city of Stolbtsy and 3 km west of the village of New Sverzhen . The area belongs to the Neman basin, along the northern outskirts of the agro-town there is a small river Zaluzhka, a tributary of the Neman , separating Old Sverzhen from the villages of Drozdy and Peretoki. Neman itself flows 2 km north of the village. A little higher than Old Sverzhen along the course of the Zaluzhka River there is a dam and a dam. Near the village passes the P2 motorway. The nearest railway station is in Stolbtsy ( Minsk - Brest line )
Attractions
- Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Virgin (1990s). Built on the site of a historic wooden church of the same name.
