Biography
Born on June 6, 1910 in the town of Krivoy Rog, Krivorog volost, Kherson district, Kherson province of the Russian Empire.
He studied at a labor school, then (1924–1925) at the Federal Educational Institution of Factory No. 198 in Nikolaev , worked as a riveter.
In 1929 he entered the evening department of the Shipbuilding Institute, which he graduated in 1934 with a degree in mechanical engineering.
At the factory number 198 he worked before the evacuation. During World War II - at the Stalingrad plant, and then at the Uralvagonzavod . With his direct participation, the production of armored hulls of the T-34 tank was organized, using conveyor lines and automatic welding.
After the war he was the chief technologist of the plant, then - the deputy chief engineer. In 1952, he was appointed head of work on the creation of cryogenic technology.
In 1954 he was appointed chief engineer of the Sverdlovsk Plant No. 50, where then preparations were being made for the production of new self-propelled artillery installations.
In 1956-1971 - chief engineer of the Siberian Branch of the VPTI.
He died on December 4, 1978 in Sverdlovsk . He was buried at the Shirokorechensky cemetery .
Rewards
The Stalin Prize of 1946 - for a radical improvement of technology and the organization of a high-performance in-line method for the production of medium tanks with significant savings in materials, labor and cost reduction.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Star (1945), "Badge of Honor" (1944), and the medal "For Labor Valor" (1943).
