Biography
Born on March 4, 1887 in the village of Pavlovskaya of the first military district of the Orenburg Cossack army . He graduated from six classes of the Orenburg gymnasium, after which he enrolled in the Orenburg Cossack Junker School , from which he graduated from the second category [1] .
In 1907 he began serving in the Russian Imperial Army. Three years later, in 1910, he received the rank of cornet . Then he became a centurion with a seniority of 1914. He attained the title of subaul already at the height of the First World War - in 1916. The following year, 1917, became Yesaul , and the army foreman - after the February Revolution , at the end of June 1918 [1] .
As of 1910, he served in the Orenburg 2nd Cossack Regiment . About two months of 1914, from the beginning of June to the end of July, he was the chieftain of the village of Krasnoyarsk, his first native district of the Orenburg Cossack army. During the Great War, commanded hundreds of the Orenburg 10th Cossack Regiment. On October 24, 1915 he was shell-shocked “in the head, he feels headaches, tinnitus, nausea is accompanied by vomiting” - but, despite his wound, he remained in combat formation at the front [2] .
In 1917 he was listed in the 1st Orenburg Cossack reserve regiment, then he was again transferred to the main staff of the 10th Cossack regiment. During the Civil War , in April 1918, he formed and led an anti-Bolshevik partisan detachment in the village of Krasnogorsk — in the one where he was previously chosen as the chieftain. In May, he surrendered the command of this detachment to R.P. Stepanov . A. Zhukov was the head of the local 1st partisan detachment, and then the Eastern partisan detachment of 300 fighters [1] [3] [4] .
In July 1918, he received under his command the sixth hundred of the 2nd Cossack Regiment. On August 21, he was appointed assistant commander of this regiment [5] . September 27, represented all of the Orenburg Cossacks at the Slavic festival in Samara . After that, he became an assistant commander of the Orenburg 19th Cossack Regiment, and on October 10 he was transferred to the military headquarters of the Orenburg Cossack Army - with a secondment to the 1st reserve regiment. Consisted of a set of horse regiments [1] .
Already on October 16, 1918, he was appointed to the post of assistant commander of the Orenburg 1st Cossack Regiment . At the very beginning of 1919, on January 3, he received at his disposal the Orenburg 24th Cossack Regiment [6] . But already on January 16 he received a new appointment: he became commander of the Orenburg 8th Cossack Regiment [7] . At the end of March he was expelled from his post “due to illness” and was at the disposal of the military headquarters with enlistment in the army [1] [8] .
