Biography

Born in Moscow. He graduated from music school with honors.

In 1978 he entered the jazz improvisation studio Moskvorechye.

He served in the army.

After returning from the army, he worked in the crews Crew, Quadro (1984), Dune (1987), Courage (1989), Kar-Man (1993, 1996).

He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Culture , specializing in the head of the folk instrument orchestra.

From 1992 to 1997 Dmitry worked as a guitarist and arranger in the group of Nikolai Noskov .

Since 1995, according to a survey among domestic professionals (the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper, the Music box magazine), he has been a leader in the Electric Guitar nomination.

In 1997 he released his solo instrumental album "Free Flight". In 1997, Dmitry Chetvergov and Nikolai Arutyunov created the Thursday Arutyunov group. He worked with the Honored Artist of Russia Valery Yaremenko .

On his track record are many Russian pop stars. Collaborated with Joe Satriani , Glenn Hughes ( Deep Purple ) and Joe Lynn Turner ( Rainbow , Deep Purple ).

In 1998, the guitarist began to process and record new versions of A. Rybnikov 's rock operas " Juno and Avos " and " Star and Death of Joaquin Murieta ".

Guitarist, arranger and sound producer of the song “ Running Scared ”, which brought victory to the duo from Azerbaijan ( Eurovision 2011 ).

In 2012, he took part in the project “Solo for Guitar and Orchestra”, the release of which took place at MMDM .

In December 2015, Dmitry Chetvergov was awarded a diploma of the Presidential Regiment for high performing skills.

For a long time collaborating with the Russian classic - composer Eduard Artemyev. Dmitry Chetvergov is the only performer on the guitar of the work "Officer Brotherhood" (soundtrack from the movie "The Siberian Barber" by Nikita Mikhalkov).

In 2017, he performed at the Mariinsky Theater - for the first time in the history of this academic scene, rock sounded in the hall.

I’m moving forward towards new creative projects! ”

He is currently preparing another solo album, is actively touring with his own instrumental program, holds creative meetings and master classes, takes part in various projects as a guest artist.

In the summer of 2019, Dmitry will participate in the Spasskaya Tower festival. This was announced on February 13 on his official website : Dmitry Chetvergov confidently continues musical practice in large-scale projects of interaction between a rock band and orchestras. His rich experience as a guitarist, arranger, sound producer and leader in such projects as: “Guitar Solo and Orchestra” with the Ministry of Internal Affairs Orchestra, “Anthem to Nature” by Eduard Artemyev with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra and others, allowed him to start a new serious work in the grandiose a project for interaction between the Presidential Orchestra of Russia, a rock band and soloists as part of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival on Red Square.

On March 19, 2019, Dmitry Chetvergov’s single “Game” (Live) reached number 1 on the iTunes Top 200 Russia in the Rock category. This was reported by representatives of the Russian record label "Moscow City Records" on their pages on social networks and the news project on the music industry Mesmika.com.
