Biography
Izmail Efimov was born on November 14, 1946 in the village of Porandaykino, Gornomariysky district, Mari Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, childhood and school years were spent in the Revolution settlement.
In 1971 he graduated from the Kazan Art College , in 1977 - the Moscow State Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov [1] .
Since 1980 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR [1] .
In 1987-1989 and 1992-1993 he was chairman of the Union of Artists of the Mari ASSR and the Republic of Mari El [1] .
In 1997, he was appointed to the position of heraldmeister under the President of the Republic of Mari El. Since 2006 is a full member of the Guild of Heraldic Artists [1] .

Specializes in painting, heraldry and ethnofuturism [1] .
