Radio signals whose spectrum width is comparable to the center frequency. Sometimes a factor of 1/10 is used, i.e. if the width of the spectrum is about 1/10 of the frequency at which the signal is transmitted, then the signal is considered broadband. With a narrower spectrum, the signal will be narrowband; with a wider spectrum, it will be ultra-wideband.
