In the 90s of the twentieth century after the Chernobyl tragedy, the Desnyansky (Vatutinsky) district of the city of Kiev grew rapidly. On the 300,000th residential area, the service was carried out in one small wooden church in the village of Troyeshchyna, which was not able to accommodate all believers, and therefore the construction of a new church was vital not only for the residents of the Troyeshchyna massif, but also for the entire Left Bank of the capital of Ukraine.

The initiator of the erection in Troyeshchyna of a new church dedicated to the Holy Trinity was the leadership of the Vatutinsky district, headed by Ivan Ivanovich Andryushchenko, Anatoly Olekseevich Mokrousov, Vladimir Andreevich Zhukov. And the construction of the temple itself is associated with the name of Archimandrite Pimen (Sobolev, + 08.26.2000) in the schema - Seraphim, who was his first priest. Holy Trinity Church was founded on October 16, 1990. The funds for the church were donated by many, many believers, businessmen and organizations, the clergy of the Trinity Church, Archpriest Dimitry Grigorak and Priest Vladimir Makukha. The receiver of schehiarchimandrita Seraphim (Sobolev) became Fr. Dimitry Grigorak, the directions of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the parish ministry in the Holy Trinity Church in 1995, and from the first days was responsible for the construction of the temple and a great educational and charitable work. Father Dimitry Grigorak, together with the parish, completed the unique construction of the church and other church buildings, and already in 1997, the Trinity Church appeared before the people of Kiev in all its beauty. On June 17, on the day of the Holy Trinity, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan), consecrated the temple.

The project of the temple complex was developed by the honored architect of Ukraine, the laureate of the Shevchenko Prize, the Laureate of the Prize of Ministers of the USSR by architect Vadim Grechin, Irina Grechin and designer Leonid Linovich. The project envisaged a complex of structures in the stylized forms of Ukrainian Baroque architecture: a church for 1,200 parishioners, a bell tower, a hotel, a Sunday school, a refectory, a baptismal, an icon painting workshop, the abbot's house, a transformer substation, a gate. The complex is located between the village of Troyeshchyna and the residential area Vygurovschina-Troyeshchina, on an artificial hill.

DEVICE OF THE TEMPLE

Holy Trinity Church has four thrones: central, consecrated in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity, left-in honor of Rev. Seraphim of Sarov, right-in honor of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious, underground temple in honor of the Holy Great Martyr Dimitrii of Thessalonica.

In 1999, in the Holy Trinity Church under the guidance of Honored Artist of Ukraine Fizer Ivan Vasilyevich, a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine Senyuty Nikolai Mikhailovich and Shitik Anatoly Dmitrievich, a seven-iconostasis was built in the Holy Trinity Church. The dimensions of the central iconostasis: height 15.2 m, width 12.80 m, total carving area 52.79 square meters. Also, iconostases were built in two more areas of the temple, each 6 meters high, 3.8 meters wide, with a total area of 34.4 square meters.

INTERIOR

In the central iconostasis are 44 holy icons, painted by Pochaev masters by icon painters headed by Nikolai Panchuk, in the side iconostasis, each with 18 icons. On each of the icons, on the iconostasis, on the reverse side there are small tablets where the names of benefactors are engraved.

In 2004, an underground temple was built in the name of the Great Martyr Dimitry of Thessalonica the Myrritech under the building of the Holy Trinity Church. At first, this temple was not envisaged by the project, but over time, the prior abbot, Archpriest Dimitri Grigorak decided to arrange a place for prayer. The underground temple was warm and cozy. For this reason, they began to carry out baptism. Now it is a tradition. The painting of the underground temple was done by masters of the sacred art of Galicia under the direction of A. N. Smorzhenuk. The iconostasis was made in the Belotserkovsky icon-painting school them. L.P. Bachinsky.

In 2005, the inner walls of the Holy Trinity Church began to be prepared for painting. The mural of the temple was led by master-icon painters of sacred art, led by Igor Leskiv, Igor Oreshchak and Sergey Bulko.

In the underground temple there is a small room from where the wondrous aroma of bread reaches; prosphora is baked here. During the great fast, about 2,000 prosphora are baked every day, and 45 kg of flour is kneaded for this amount. Yes, and between the posts of work, no less, because in the Holy Trinity Church since 1998, the Divine Liturgy is carried out every day, without days off.

THE SAINTS OF THE TEMPLE

In 2000, Archimandrite Barnabas, the abbot of the Sanaksar Monastery (Republic of Mordovia) transferred two shrines to the Holy Trinity Church: an icon with a piece of relics of Theodore Sanaksarsky and an icon of a righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov.

In the fall of 2000, another shrine appeared in the temple. The rector of the church, Archpriest Dimitry Grigorak, and the parishioners of the Holy Trinity Church went on a pilgrimage to the Diveevo nunnery (Russia) where the miraculous icon with the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov was a gift to pilgrims from Ukraine.

In 2010, the benefactors of the Holy Trinity Church were presented with an ark with parts of the relics of all the saints of Kiev-Pechersk saints.

In 2011, the temple was donated by the icon of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica to the church with a piece of the relics of the saint.

SUNDAY SCHOOL OF THE HOLY TRINITY TEMPLE

In 1998, a Sunday school for children was opened at the church and the publication of the journal Troyeschina Orthodox was founded.

Today, Sunday school has more than 60 children from 5-16 years old and is divided into three age groups.

In 2013, the Yangolyatko vocal and choral studio was created, which today has more than 70 children.
