The monument to Maya Plisetskaya was erected in the center of Moscow, on Bolshaya Dmitrovka , in a park named after the ballerina Maya Plisetskaya.
The opening took place on November 20, 2016, the birthday of the ballerina [1] .
The author of the monument is the Ural sculptor Viktor Mitroshin , who was personally acquainted with Maya Plisetskaya and performed her sculptural portraits during the life of the ballerina. Maya Plisetskaya is represented in the image of Carmen .
The monument was erected on the initiative of spouse and widower Maya Plisetskaya Rodion Shchedrin .
