The Ivan Vazov Prize is the national award of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria and modern Bulgaria .

The prize was established in 1970 by the Sopot community and the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria in memory of the Bulgarian poet and writer Ivan Vazov . Awarded annually on July 9, the birthday of Vazov. The award itself is a bust of Ivan Vazov.
