Biography
Konstantin Guryev was born on September 28, 1873 in the village of Orenburg, the first military department of the Orenburg Cossack army . He was the second son of Major General Yakov Ivanovich Guryev - assistant chieftain of the first division and commander of the Orenburg 13th Cossack Regiment in 1905-1906 [1] . Konstantin graduated from the Orenburg Neplyuyev cadet corps , then he entered the capital's Nikolaev Cavalry School , from which he graduated from the first category [2] .
October 1, 1891 Guryev began military service in the Russian Imperial Army . He received the rank of cornet in August 1893 ( with seniority a year earlier), became a centurion in July 1897 (also, with seniority a year earlier). He reached the rank of Subaul in August 1900, Yesaul - in May 1911 (and with seniority since 1904). He reached the army foreman in December 1912 (for distinction) [3] , and then to the colonel (October 1917, for military distinction) - already during the First World War [2] .
From 1893 to 1894, Konstantin Guryev served in the Orenburg 2nd Cossack Battery. In 1897, he was listed in the Orenburg 3rd Cossack battery. In 1900, Guryev was a junior officer in the 2nd battery, on the lists of which he was later: in 1908 and in 1912. On December 17, 1912, he was given command of the 3rd battery of the Orenburg Cossack Army - he was at the post of its commander until December 1914 [2] .
During the Great War , in 1915-1916, Konstantin Yakovlevich commanded the 2nd Orenburg Cossack Artillery Division. He was evacuated from the theater of operations - seconded to the management of the equestrian artillery brigade in August 1915. At the end of October, he was sent to the reserve of officer ranks of the Dvina Military District [2] .
Since August 31, 1916, Guryev was appointed commander of the 1st Siberian Cossack Battery. In September, he again began to command the division - this time the 3rd Orenburg. During the Civil War , he became a member of the White Movement in eastern Russia. In the middle of July 1918, Konstantin Yakovlevich headed the Orenburg equestrian artillery brigade - in September he continued to be on this post. In March 1919, in connection with the disbandment of the brigade, he was transferred to the disposal of the Military Headquarters with the abandonment of artillery troops [2] [4] .

The son-in-law (husband of the sister) of Konstantin Guryev was Alexander Aleksandrovich Lebedev (born 1882) - a military foreman, commander of the third hundred of the Orenburg 17th Cossack Regiment and also the St. George cavalier [6] .
