Umba , in the headwaters of Bolshaya Umba, is a river in Russia, flows through the territory of the Medvezhyegorsk district of Karelia and the Onega district of the Arkhangelsk region . Godowsky Moss originates in the swamp. The mouth of the river is 112 km along the right bank of the Vyg River . The river is 33 km long, its catchment area is 268 km² [2] . 11 km from the mouth, the right-bank tributary Malaya Umba merges with Bolshoy Umba , after the merger the name of the river changes to Umba.

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Barents-Belomorsky basin district , the water sector of the river is the basin of Lake Vygozero to the Vygozersky hydroelectric complex , without the Segezha river to the Segozersky hydroelectric complex , the river sub-basin is absent. The river basin - the river basins of the Kola Peninsula and Karelia, flows into the White Sea [2] .
