Title
The name comes from Lake Cannellarvi (now Lake Pobednoe); according to one version, it goes back to the name of the kantele musical instrument, which it resembles in form [2] , according to another - it comes from kannes - prince [3] .
History
It arose in the middle of the XIX century in connection with the construction of the railway. Initially, the station was called Uusikirkko after the name of the neighboring village of the same name (now - Polyany ).
In 1925 it received its current name, at the same time a volost of the same name was formed.
By 1939, there were about 50 houses in the village. During the Winter War, residents were resettled in the city of Salo and others. Until 1948, the name Cannellarvi also bore a village located east of the railway station. Now it is the village of Victory .
According to 1990 data , the village was part of the Tsvelodubovsky village council [4] .
In 1997, 145 people lived in the village, in 2007 - 145 [5] [6] .
