The eldest of the brothers is Jean-Pierre Dardenne ( fr. Jean-Pierre Dardenne ; born April 21, 1951 , Liege , Belgium ). Junior - Luke Dardenne ( FR. Luc Dardenne ; p. March 10, 1954 in the same place).

Biography
The Dardenne brothers have been involved in cinema since the late 1970s , but gained international fame only in 1999 , when their film Rosetta entered the main competition of the Cannes Film Festival and was awarded the main prize - the Golden Palm Branch award. In 2005, the brothers with the film " Child " received the Golden Palm Branch for the second time. Their social drama Boy with a Bicycle was awarded the 2011 Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix . And for the film "Young Ahmed," the brothers were named the best directors at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival (2019). [one]
