Ginchinskaya culture

Ginchinskaya culture - the archaeological culture of the Bronze Age (III-II millennium BC), the artifacts of which are found in Dagestan and Chechnya. It was allocated in 1974 according to the Ginchi burial ground ( Dagestan ). It arose on the basis of the Kuro-Arak culture . Burials are characterized by stone crypts. Ginchi burial ground

The burial ground is located near the village of Tidib in the Shamilsky district of Dagestan , in the Gidatlinsky valley, along the Gichinoor river. It was opened in 1956 by M.G. Hajiyev studied and described it in detail. [2]

On the territory of the repository, 15 crypts, two children's tombs and 15 burials in clay vessels were uncovered. [3]

Sioni Culture - Tsopi - Ginchi

The culture of Zioni-Tsopi-Ginchi is a culture of the early and middle Eneolithic of the South Caucasus. Also known as 'Zioni Culture' and 'Zion Culture'. It dates from the beginning of V millennium BC. Especially distributed in the center and in the east of the South Caucasus. It was opened in the 2000s. This culture is concentrated in the Kura and Araks basins, in eastern Georgia, in Azerbaijan and in Southern Dagestan. [four]

It is named after the settlements of Tsopi and Sioni ( Marneuli municipality ) in Georgia, and the Ginchi in the Shamil region , Dagestan. Archaeologists T. Kiguradze and G. Ch. Chikovani discovered this culture.

The settlements of Zioni-Tsop culture, as well as the monuments of Kuro-Arak culture , are located both on the plain and in the foothills and mountains. [five]
