Damir Fejsic ( Serb. Damir Fejziћ / Damir Fejzić ; April 16, 1994 , Vrsac ) - Serbian Taekwondo player of light and medium weight categories, has been playing for the Serbian national team since 2011. Biography

Damir Fejsic was born on April 16, 1994 in the city of Vrsac in the autonomous region of Vojvodina , Yugoslavia .

He made his international debut in the 2007 season, when he first joined the Serbian national team and performed at the European Cadet Championships in Budapest. In 2009, he attended the World Junior Championships in Izmir, where he managed to reach the stage of the quarter finals. Subsequently, he visited several more junior world championships, although he could never get to them among the winners.

Thanks to a series of successful performances, he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London - in the lightweight category at the preliminary stage Peter Lopez defeated the Peruvian with a score of 5: 3, but lost to the representative of Great Britain Martin Stamper in the quarterfinal 3: 8 and thereby lost any chances to be among the winners.

After the London Olympics, Fejsic remained in the main squad of the Serbian national team and continued to take part in major international tournaments. So, in 2013, he performed at the Mediterranean Games in Mersin , in the middle weight category he reached the quarter finals, where he was defeated by Moroccan Issam Shernubi . While at the World Championships in Puebla, he performed in the lightweight division and was defeated by the Russian Albert Gaun in his first duel. In 2015, he represented the country at the first European Games in Baku , however, at the 1/8 final stage with a score of 12: 0 he lost to the representative of Azerbaijan Milad Kharchegani , who eventually won this tournament. At the same time, he won the first two matches at the world championship in Chelyabinsk , but in the third he was stopped by Aronld Nkoy from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

In 2016, Damir Feysich tried to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , but could not do it, at the qualifying Olympic tournament in Istanbul he took only third place, losing in the semifinal with a score of 9:16 to the Croatian Philip Grgic [1] .
