Club career
Early years
Born in the Austrian city of Feldkirch, Bühel began his football career with the youth teams of St. Gallen and the Italian Siena . He was leased to Juventus in the 2010/11 season and made his debut as part of this club in the group stage match of the Europa League against the Austrian Red Bull Club on November 4, 2010 [1] . On July 1, 2011, Büchel was again leased for the season, this time to the Gubbio Serie B club [2] . During the season, Marcel took part in 17 matches and scored 1 goal. The next season was followed by a lease to the club “ Cremonese ” [3] .
Juventus
On January 31, it was officially announced that Büchel was sold jointly with Juventus . In exchange, Siena received the same contract with the captain of the Juventus youth team Andrea Schiavone. As part of the deal, Buchel's lease at Cremonese continued [4] . Marcel was called up to the main squad of Juventus by coach Antonio Conte for the pre-season training camp on July 11, 2013 [5] . On September 2, 2013, Buchel went on loan for the season to the Virtus Lanciano club [6] [7] . On August 26, 2014, rental to the Bologna club followed again until June 30, 2015. [8]
Empoli
On August 31, 2015, Büchel went on loan to the Empoli Club [9] . On June 22, 2016 Empoli bought the player’s contract from Juventus [10] [11] .
Verona
Buchel joined the Ellas Verona club in August 2017 [12] .
Team Career
In September 2015, it was announced that Büchel, who received Liechtenstein citizenship, was called up by the national team head coach for the October matches of the Euro 2016 qualifying tournament [13] .
