Biography
Born in the late nineteenth century into a peasant family, in the village of Zalivnoe, Aleksandrovsky district, Yekaterinoslav province .
Since 1917, a member of the Gulyaypole group of anarchists.

After the area of Chaly was in the rear of Wrangel , in the spring of 1920, the latter declared that he was in alliance with Makhno , and in every way supported Chaly and helped form the troops. In the fall of 1920, Chaly in the Russian Army, Wrangel, formed a brigade of former Makhnovists, and also held the front line against the Makhnovists in the front of Chaplino Sinelnikovo.
