Upenu Street ( Latvian: Upeņu iela , in translation - Smorodinovaya ) - a street in Vidzeme suburb of Riga , in Purvciems .

It starts from Putses street , crosses Dzelzavas street and goes to Gunara Astras street .
It was first shown in the list of city streets in 1925 under the name Brookleniu Street ( Latvian: Brūkleņu iela , translated Brusnichnaya ), but already in 1930 it was mentioned under its current name, which subsequently did not change [1] . Initially, it reached the intersection with Pilyu Street , but with the redevelopment of the area, the length of the street was reduced.
According to official figures, the total length of the street is 855 meters [2] , however, in fact, the street consists of two separate sections separated by Dzelzavas street . The first section, about 160 m long, connects Putses and Dzelzavas streets. The second section, about 540 m, goes to Gunara Astras street and is connected by an intra-quarter drive to Stirnu street . It does not intersect with other streets.
