Yasnitsky, Peter Alekseevich

Pyotr Alekseevich Yasnitsky ( 1891 - 1968 ) - Soviet scientist-doctor. One of the initiators of the development of local mineral resources of the Perm Territory and the founders of the resort of Ust-Kachka .

Biography

Born on October 3, 1891 [1] in the village of Yukamenskoye, Vyatka province, now Udmurtia.

In May 1917 he graduated from the medical faculty of Yuriev University and was immediately drafted into the Russian Imperial Army , became a member of the First World War . In the 470th Dankovsky regiment, located in the Baltic states, Pyotr Yasnitsky was a junior doctor, then he served as senior regimental doctor.

After the October Revolution , since 1918, he was in charge of the hospital at the Zalazninsky plant in his native Glazovsky district. Here he was mobilized into the Red Army , in the 85th Infantry Regiment, becoming a participant in the Civil War in Russia . Again he was a senior regimental doctor; then, working in the evacuation center of the headquarters of the 3rd Army , he became chairman of the permanent medical commission. With the Red Army he came to the Urals , since 1920 he was in Perm .

Yasnitsky had a desire to engage in science and improve his medical skills - he became a teacher of propaedeutics of internal diseases at Perm State University . In 1924, his first scientific article, Towards a Clinic for Myocardial Infarction, was published in the journal Clinical Medicine . Then he studied hypertension, chronic gastritis, septic and rheumatic lesions of the human body. For ten years, starting in 1922, he worked in the faculty therapeutic clinic of Professor V. F. Simanovich (1870-1929) [2] - as an assistant, senior assistant, and for some time after the death of Simanovich headed the clinic. For more than thirty years, from 1932 to 1966, P. A. Yasnitsky was the head of the hospital therapeutic clinic at the Perm Medical Institute , a consultant to various hospitals and polyclinics, and also the chief physician of the Perm Region . In the mid-1930s, professors of the medical institute P. Yasnitsky, N. G. Khoroshavin and V. K. Modestov were the initiators of the development of mineral waters in the village of Ust-Kachka , having carried out a full-scale study of the Ust-Kachka water and proving the feasibility of its medical use .

In May 1941, Yasnitsky was drafted into the army for the third time and served on the western border. He was a participant in the Great Patriotic War - he worked as the chief therapist of Perm evacuation hospital No. 1712, continuing his studies at the medical institute. Demobilized in September 1945 with the rank of lieutenant colonel of the medical service. In 1946, he completed the 327-page monographic work, Diaphragm, Disorders of Its Function and Disease, where he summarized his many years of observation of sick and wounded. He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences and the title of professor. Among his state awards are the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of the Badge of Honor and medals, including For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. In GKBU "State Archive of the Perm Territory" there are documents related to P. A. Yasnitsky. [3]

He died on October 22, 1968 [1] and was buried in the village cemetery of Ust-Kachki.

His wife was of Polish descent, she died early, leaving Peter Alekseevich two children - daughter Panya and son Igor.

Memory

  • A prize named after Professor P. A. Yasnitsky has been established in the Perm Region.
  • In Ust-Kachka, a monument was erected to him [4] and a memorial plaque on one of the resort buildings.
