Bokin, Konstantin Afanasyevich

Konstantin Afinasyevich Bokin ( July 21 ( August 2 ), 1891 , Orenburg - 1939 , Harbin ) - military foreman , commander of the Orenburg 20th Cossack regiment division, awarded with the golden St. George weapon and the Order of St. George for bravery in the fight against the Bolsheviks.

Biography

Konstantin Bokin was born on July 21 ( August 2 ), 1891 in Orenburg in the family of court counselor Athanasius Bokin. He graduated from the Orenburg gymnasium, and then, in 1913 - the Kazan Military School (in the first category). In 1913 he received the rank of second lieutenant and from August 1913 he was enrolled in the Largo-Kagul 191st Infantry Regiment . In July 1914 he was assigned on mobilization to Samara , where he acted as an orderly for the head of the 83rd infantry division . From mid-August 1914 took part in the First World War . In November 1914, he was transferred to the 331th Orsk Infantry Regiment, and a year later he became the chief officer for assignments at the headquarters of the 83rd Infantry Division [1] .

In 1916 he became a lieutenant and was assigned to the Orenburg Cossack troops . From July 1917 he was appointed junior officer and head of the economy of the 6th Battery of the 83rd Artillery Brigade. He was demobilized on March 15, 1918 with the rank of centurion , but already on July 14, due to the beginning of the Civil War , he was mobilized and ended up in the Sakmar Horse Regiment, where he was seconded [1] . In August of the same year, he became staff captain , and with seniority from 1916 [2] he was the temporary executor of the affairs of the head of the weapon. In 1919 he served in the II Orenburg Cossack Corps, was the assistant commander for the rifle unit of the Orenburg 20th Cossack regiment. He became the commander of the division, received the rank of military sergeant [1] . Bokin is one of only two Orenburg Cossacks - along with military foreman Petr Shnyrov , who died in May 1919 - who received two St. George awards at the time of the Civil War [3] .

At the end of the Civil War was in exile in Manchuria . In 1936–1937, he worked as a clerk of the partnership of the Tsynddel company in Harbin . He died in 1939 [1] .
