The Sabskoye rural settlement is a municipality in the Volosovsky district of the Leningrad region . The administrative center is the village of Big Sabsk .

Geographic data

  • Total area: 496,03 km²
  • Location: the western part of the Volosovsky district
  • Borders:
    • in the north-west and north - with the Bolshevrud rural settlement
    • in the northeast and north - with the Rabititsky rural settlement
    • in the south - with the Luga municipal district
    • in the south-west - with the Slantsy municipal district
    • in the west - with Kingisepp municipal district .
  • The following roads pass through the settlement:
    • 41A-186 ( Tolmachevo - “ Narva ” highway)
    • 41K-048 ( Shipment - Lemovzha )
    • 41K-049 ( Hotnezha - Sosnitsy )

  • The distance from the administrative center of the settlement to the district center is 55 km [3]
  • The river Luga flows along the southern border of the settlement

History

In the early 1920s, the Sabsky village council was formed as part of the Moloskovitsky volost of Kingisepp county of St. Petersburg province .

In August 1927, the Sabsky village council became part of the Osminsky district of the Leningrad region.

As of 1933, in the Sabsky village council included 4 settlements, the population - 689 people [4] .

On August 2, 1961, after the liquidation of the Osminsky district, the village council became part of the Volosovsky district.

From February 1, 1963 to January 12, 1965, after the abolition of the Volosovsky district, the Sabsky village council was part of the Kingisepp rural region [5] .

According to 1973, the territory of the abolished Volnovsky village council is included in the composition of the village council [6] .

January 18, 1994, by resolution of the head of the administration of the Leningrad region No. 10 “On changes in the administrative-territorial structure of the districts of the Leningrad region”, the Sabsky village council , like all other village councils of the region, was transformed into the Saba volost , and the territory of the former Hotnezh village council was included in it [7 ] .

On January 1, 2006, in accordance with the regional Law No. 64-oz dated September 24, 2004 “On the Establishment of Borders and the Allocation of Appropriate Status of the Volosovsky Municipal District and Municipal Formations in Its Composition”, the Sabsky rural settlement was formed , it included the territory of the former Sabsky volosts [8] .
