The season began on August 2, 2015 with the final match of the English Super Cup against Chelsea . Also this season, Arsenal played in the UEFA Champions League , where in the 1/8 finals they lost to the Spanish Barcelona .
In addition, Arsenal traditionally took part in national cups: the FA Cup and the Football League Cup . In the FA Cup, Arsenal lost to Watford in the sixth round.

Preseason and
Arsenal began pre-season training in Asia at the Asia Premier League Trophy tournament, in which it won first place, defeating Everton in the final match.
After that, Arsenal took part in the Emirates Cup , which also won.

The Premier League matches calendar for the 2015/16 season was unveiled on June 17, 2015 [2] . Arsenal began the season with a home match with West Ham United on August 9, in which they lost 0–2, and also finished with a home game with Aston Villa on May 15, where they defeated 4–0 [3] .
