Orthodox, a peasant in the village of Koronino, Goryainovskaya volost, Fatezh district .

He was educated at the Kursk real school, where he graduated from 5 classes. Then he served a year and a half in the excise department in Kursk. In 1888, due to illness, he left the service and left for his native village, where he held the posts of volost clerk , managing the court clerk, candidate for volost foremen and, finally, volost foreman . He stayed in his last post until being elected to the State Duma. For his service in peasant institutions, he received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs a commendation sheet and a medal on the Stanislavsky ribbon. He devoted much time to farming, had a nursery and an orchard (3½ tithes of allotment and 52 tithes of his own land).

In addition, he was a vowel of the Fatezh district zemstvo assembly , an honorary magistrate for Fatezh district (since 1906), chairman of the credit partnership council, member of the sobriety society and trustee of two schools. He was a member of the Union of Russian people . Consisted of an elector in the State Duma of the 1st and 2nd convocations.

In 1907 he was elected a member of the III State Duma from the Kursk province by a congress of commissioners from volosts. In the 1st session he was a member of the national group, from the 2nd session - in the right faction. He was a member of the Council of the faction, from November 1907 - the Secretary, since 1908 - the assistant Secretary of the faction. He was a member of the commissions: food, resettlement and agricultural. He supported the Stolypin agrarian reform .

In 1909 he was again elected a volost foreman, but was not approved in this post by the zemstvo chief because of the "inconvenience of combining the position" with parliamentary activity. In 1910, he was elected an honorary member of the Union of Russian People with the rights of a founding member, since 1911 he was a candidate member of the Main Council of the NRC. He was also a member of the Russian Assembly .

In 1912 he was re-elected to the State Duma . He was part of the right-wing faction, after its split in November 1916 - into the group of N. E. Markov . He was a member of the commissions: land, food, budget, agricultural and resettlement. During the First World War, he headed the economy of the hospital of the Kursk Provincial Zemstvo, seconded to the 4th Army , went to the front.

Fate after 1917 is unknown. He was married, had nine children.
