Biography
Born in 1895 in the village of Rassipnaya of the First Military Department of the Orenburg Cossack Army in a family of Cossacks. He studied at the Nikolaev Cavalry School until November 1917, after which he dropped out due to the liquidation of the school itself [1] .
He had the rank of belt-junker , and from September 1918 - the ensign . For the military distinction became a cornet [2] , and then the centurion (also for military distinction) [1] [3] .
During World War I, he was a volunteer in the Orenburg 14th Cossack Regiment . Since March 1918, he fought with the Bolsheviks as part of the partisan detachment of the captain (later colonel) AM Bulgakov [1] .
June 22, 1918 became a junior officer of the 2nd Hundredth of the Orenburg 2nd Cossack Regiment , and on July 28th he took command of this hundred, located on the Nikolaev Front. He was introduced to the rank of coronet [1] .
In September, he was in the Orenburg 19th Cossack Regiment , where from October 25 he became commander of the 3rd hundred. He distinguished himself on August 20 in a battle near the Irgiz River: having found a retreating enemy, he launched an attack on horseback and turned the Reds into a stampede [1] .
He became the commander of the division, remaining in the 19th regiment and in 1919 [1] .
