Lubnygaz

Gasification of the city of Lubny began in 1961, when it began supplying residents of the city with liquefied natural gas in cylinders ^[1] .

In 1965, a production and operational office of a gas economy was created in the Lubensky urban housing estate ^[1] .

On November 6, 1965, the first gas pipeline was commissioned, providing natural gas to the Lubensky Kommunar plant ^[1] .

After the independence of Ukraine, the state-owned enterprise Lubnygaz was transformed into an open joint-stock company .

After the creation of the state joint-stock holding company "Ukrgaz" on July 16, 1996, the enterprise was transferred to the company ^[2] .

In August 1997, the Lubnygaz gas supply and gasification company was assigned to the category of enterprises of strategic importance for the economy and security of Ukraine ^[3] .

After the creation of the National Joint Stock Company " Naftogaz of Ukraine " on May 25, 1998, the enterprise was transferred to the company ^[4] .

After the creation of the company " Gas of Ukraine " in 2000, "Lubnygaz" was transferred to the jurisdiction of the recreation center "Gas of Ukraine" ^[1] .

In 2006, the State Control and Revision Commission conducted a check of the state of gas distribution networks in Ukraine, as a result of which on the balance sheet of Lubnygaz state-owned "ownerless" gas distribution networks with a total length of 551.4 km were identified ^[5] .

In June 2009, additional distribution pipelines previously owned by the state were transferred to the Lubnygaz balance sheet ^[6] .

As of January 1, 2011, the company had 125 gas distribution points and 3808.86 km of gas pipelines on its balance sheet, and the number of Lubnygaz employees amounted to 425 people ^[1] .

On October 10, 2011, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 1053, according to which it transferred half of the controlling interest in the amount of 51% of Lubnygaz shares from the authorized capital of Naftogaz Ukrainy to the State Property Fund of Ukraine for subsequent privatization ^[7] , however a blocking stake in Lubnygaz in the amount of 26% of the shares remained in the ownership of Naftogaz of Ukraine ^[8] .

In February 2012, the Cypriot company Castlebury Limited, the owner of 10.486% of the authorized capital of Lubnygaz, transferred another 11.34% of the shares to the British company Aer Alter Energy Resourses Ltd. On September 11, 2012, another 26% of the shares (previously state-owned) for 5060 thousand hryvnias were bought by Finlex-Invest Investment Company LLC ^[9] .

On July 17, 2014, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to sell 25% of the remaining state-owned shares of OAO Lubnygaz ^[10] .
