History

According to the salary book of 1684, the village of Paniny Prudy, already known from the scribe books of 1637 and 1638, belonged to the parish of the village of Aglomazovo . Only after the church was abolished in Aglomazovo, in 1770 Panin Prudy erected a church in honor of the great martyr Paraskeva Friday. Perhaps the church was moved from the village of Aglomazova: in favor of this is the request of the clergy, submitted in 1797, about the need to correct the dilapidation in the building structure. In 1790, clergy and parishioners of the church sent a request for a chapel at the church in honor of St. Nicholas. May 16, 1794 Priest Stefan Ioannov filed a petition for the consecration of the built chapel. The sanctuary was issued on November 29, 1794. April 1828 and June 1830 date the petition for covering the church building with a new dog breed [1] [2] .

In 1851, a new wooden Pyatnitskaya church was erected. As of 1891, the church included half a dozen directly occupied by the temple and cemetery, three tithes of manor land, 30 acres of arable land and 3.5 tithes of meadow land, however, there was no plan or boundary book for these lands. In addition, the clergy owned 35 tithes of arable land and 18 tithes occupied by shrubs in the Zakharichi wasteland . The parish included directly the village of Paniny Prudy (328 yards), the villages of Aglomazovo (18 yards) and Urodovo (9 yards; separated in 1873 from the village of Troitsa-Pelenitsa ); 1248 men and 1327 women lived in them, of which 78 were literate. The clergy at that time consisted of a priest, deacon and psalm-reader . One of them was a law teacher at a school in the village of Panino [1] .

In 1870, parish trusteeship was opened at the church. In 1884, 300 rubles were collected for the purpose of decorating the temple, including through donations. In 1889, instead of the old, dilapidated church fence, a new one was erected. The decision to build a new, already stone church in the village was made in 1896 [2] .

In 1903, in the village of Paniny Prudy, a stone temple was erected with a bell tower and with two aisles: the main one was consecrated in honor of the holy Great Martyr Paraskeva Pyatnitsa , the other in the name of St. Nicholas of Myra . Funds for the construction of the church were collected from donations from priests and clergy, parishioners and various benefactors. Among them were Gavriil Zakharovich Petrov, hereditary nobleman Ivan Nikolaevich Konshin , archpriest of the city of Kronstadt John Ilyich Sergeev. At the temple in a small gatehouse there was a parish school , which was maintained with public funds (360 rubles). It is known that in 1913 175 boys and 63 girls studied at the school, in 1914 - 176 boys and 96 girls. Since 1911, the post of head and law teacher in the parish school was occupied by the priest of the Pyatnitsky church Ivan Grigoryevich Troitsky, as early as 1902 the deacon Nikolai Dobrodeev worked as the second law teacher [3] [2] . The local clergy did not receive a salary. The church (circle) gathering in 1914 amounted to 505 rubles. Church land, being sandy, provided an income of up to 200 rubles a year. The clergy owned the houses they built on church and manor lands [2] .

July 15, 1940 the church was closed, its building was taken away from the school, but it was used by the collective farm for its own purposes. At that time, many icons and church supplies disappeared. The storage of chemical fertilizers in the church destroyed all the murals and negatively responded to the condition of the walls and floor [2] [3] .

In 1992, the temple was returned to believers. Thanks to the efforts of the rector Archimandrite Polycarp (Grishin), local residents and benefactors, the temple was restored. In addition to the fencing around the temple, new gates and steps were erected and the foundation restored; a third tier with a bell tower and a gilded onion dome was built . Some lost shrines were returned. Now in the church there are already the images of the Mother of God “The Horny One ” and “The Recovery of the Dead ”, a sculptural image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker [2] .
