The Kingsmen is a garage rock band from Portland , Oregon, one of the first members of the band to play a significant role in shaping the style in the 1960s. Their most influential record is considered β Louie Louie β - the most famous cover version (1963) of Richard Berryβs song of 1956 , due to which β Louie Louie β became a rock standard.
