He graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (1959), mechanical engineer.
From 1959 to 1997, he worked in the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Engineering: a design engineer, the head of the design group, and the head of the sector.
Under his leadership and with direct participation, the design of the towers of the T-62 tank and the IT-1 tank destroyer were developed. For the T-62 tank, the casting of a tower with a roof was first applied, which greatly simplified the manufacturing technology.
Issued over 10 copyright certificates for inventions.
Laureate of the USSR State Prize in 1982 for the development of the design of the tower of the T-72 tank.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1976).
