Ada Marshania ( Georgian: ადა მარშანია ; born July 1, 1961 , Sukhumi , Georgian SSR ) is a Georgian statesman and politician. She worked in government in exile of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia . Political secretary of the Alliance of Patriots of Georgia , the party that passed the Georgian parliament in the 2016 elections .

Biography
Ada Marshaniya was born July 1, 1961 in Sukhumi [1] in the family of a prominent Soviet scientist and statesman Lorik Marshaniya . She spent her childhood in Sukhumi and graduated from secondary school number 19. After graduation, she entered Leningrad State University and graduated from its law faculty with a degree in law.
Upon returning to Georgia, Ada Marshania was engaged in social and political activities, participated in the national liberation movement, which culminated in the declaration of independence of Georgia in 1990 and the collapse of the USSR in 1991 [1] . After independence and the outbreak of armed conflict in Abkhazia, she was forced to move to Tbilisi with her family [1] .
Ada Marshania was a deputy of the State Council of Georgia in 1992-1995, a deputy of the Parliament of Georgia in 1995-1999 and 1999-2004 [1] . In 2003, she participated in the work of the parliamentary delegation of Georgia to the OSCE, and discussed ways to resolve the Abkhaz conflict [2] . Since 2011, he has been broadcasting on the television channel Objective a series of programs devoted to the situation in Abkhazia and the problem of Abkhaz refugees [1] .
After Saakashvili’s government came to power, Ada Marshania joined the opposition, was a member of the Labor Party of Georgia and participated in the 2008 elections on the party list at number 12 as well as in the majority district in Zugdidi [3] .
Subsequently, Ada Marshania left the Labor Party and joined the “Resistance” movement of David Tarkhan-Mouravi , took part in protests against the policies of the Saakashvili government [4] . In December 2012, Marsania joined the political party Alliance of Patriots of Georgia , created by Irma Inashvili and David Tarhan-Mouravi [5] , becoming the party’s political secretary [1] .
In 2016, following the results of the parliamentary elections , she went to parliament on the list of the Alliance of Patriots at number 2.
