Clark Peters ( born Clarke Peters ; born April 7, 1952 , New York , USA ) is an American actor , singer , writer and director who is best known for his roles as Detective Lester Freemon in "The Wiretap " and Albert Lambo in " Tremei ."

Biography
Clark Peters was born in New York in 1952. He was the second of four sons in the family. Parents at birth gave him the name Peter Clark. The childhood of the future actor passed in Englewood . From the age of 14 he began to work in the theater. In 1971, at the invitation of his older brother, he went to Paris , where he worked as a costume designer for the musical " Hair " [4] .
In 1973 he moved to London , where he changed his name to Clark Peters, since the British Association of Actors already had several people named Peter Clark. While in London, he founded the band The Majestics. He worked as a backing vocalist on the recordings of Joan Armatrade , Heatwave , David Essex . Peters received his first theatrical roles with the assistance of his friend Ned Sherrin. Since 1976, Clark Peters has participated in several musical productions of the West End Theater: “I Gotta Shoe” (1976), “Bubbling Brown Sugar” (1977), “Blues in the Night”, “ Porgy and Bess ”, “The Witches of Eastwick ”,“ Chicago ”,“ Chess ”. In 1981, Peters played the role of Sergeant Ballard in the alien space western, starring Sean Connery . In 1986, Peters starred in Neil Jordan 's Mona Lisa .
After writing several revisions in collaboration with Ned Sherrin, Clark Peters in 1990 wrote the Five Guys Named Moe review, which was nominated for a Tony Award. After that, Peters continued to participate in theatrical musical productions, and also performed several episodic television roles.
The fame was brought to the actor by the role of detective Lester Freemon in the television series Listening , which was broadcast from 2002 to 2008 via the HBO cable channel. In 2010-2013, Peters played a major role in the series " Tremei ." Since 2012, she occasionally appeared in the CBS channel series " In sight ". Since July 2018, starred in the television series " Dark Beginnings " based on the novels of Philip Pulman . [5]
