Biography
I began to seriously engage in rowing from early childhood, I was trained in elementary school "Desanka Maksimovich" in the city of Backa-Palanka . First declared itself in 1997, winning the national championship in rowing and canoeing in its age group (later, a total of 25 times became the champion of the country in different age groups, both among juniors and among adult athletes) [1] .
Miljana Knezhevich achieved the first serious success at the international level in the 2007 season when she got into the main team of the Serbian national team and visited the world championship in Duisburg , Germany , from where she brought a bronze medal award won in the four-seater women's kayak at the 200-meter distance together with such rowers as Antonia Panda , Renata Kubik and Marta Tibor - in the finals only titled crews from Germany and Hungary outstripped them.
A year later, Knezhevich continued to compete in the main line-up of the Serbian rowing team and, thanks to a series of successful performances, won the right to defend the country's honor at the European Championships in Milan . With the same partners in the same two-hundred-meter discipline kayak-chetverok again won the bronze medal - this time in the final decisive race they were bypassed by teams from Hungary and Russia. I tried to qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing , but could not do it because of too high competition in the Olympic disciplines (her crown discipline K-4,200 m was not part of the program of the Olympic Games).
